Dates: June 27 – 29, 2013
Event: Cape Girardeau Regional Air Festival
Location: Cape Girardeau Regional Airport

Cape Girardeau Cam 2 019Cape Girardeau held their air show on June 28-29, 2013 at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport. This was the first event after a two year hiatus, and it featured a Friday night air show with children’s activities and airplanes flying all day on Saturday.

The CAF Red Tail Squadron brought the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit along with the CAF Arizona Wing’s B- 25 Maid in the Shade.

Numerous interviews were conducted over the weekend and there were several articles about the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit in print and on the television.

This community really enjoyed their RISE ABOVE Experience and would like to see the exhibit return next year with the P-51C Mustang.

Attendance: Estimated to be over 13,500

Educational Outreach:  Schools and other groups were invited to come see the RISE ABOVE on Thursday from 1:00 to 4:00 prior to the air show. The area banks also invited their young clients to enjoy the RISE ABOVE movie.
