Volunteer with Us!
CAF RISE ABOVE is looking for exceptional volunteers to become CAF Rise Above Ambassadors!
You’ll not only be needed to assist the RISE ABOVE team with our operational needs, but you’ll have the unique privilege of sharing the history and legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen and the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) and spreading their important inspirational story. You can choose to volunteer in the comfort of your own home or be present at our events. This is, of course, a valuable way for us to increase our outreach and fundraising efforts that allow us to continue our mission.
There are opportunities to help as a regional contributor to the Virtual Museum, research and write profiles for the Tuskegee Airmen or WASP, help develop resources to be included in the Resource kits.
You can also join the team to travel with the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit and the rare P-51C Mustang during the airshow season.
Whether you can commit to an extended period of time on the road (for example, a two-week tour through a particular geographic region) or are able to meet up in your hometown for a specific event, the CAF RISE ABOVE is looking for volunteer participation in one or more of the following areas:
- Setting up and tearing down the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit, a state of the art 53-foot trailer that expands to create a 30-seat theatre with a 160-degree panoramic screen.
- Assisting in the registration of school groups and individuals to participate in the Traveling Exhibit to see the free movie.
- Telling the story of the Tuskegee Airmen or WASP and how their courage and dedication resonates in today’s world.
- Working with CAF RISE ABOVE staff to make sure that VIPs are comfortable, at times including original Tuskegee Airmen.
If you would like to be considered for this incredible opportunity – and help preserve the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen and inspire audiences across the country – submit the volunteer application form and a representative from the CAF RISE ABOVE will contact you.
