Bill ShepardHello Everyone…It’s time to let the cat out of the bag. Some of you may have known that I was making a transition but I was keeping my cards close to the vest.  Well now it’s time to go public. Over Christmas I had decided to leave the CAF in search of an amazing opportunity and needed some space to manage the transition. As my close friends and family know, this would be the hardest thing for me to do because of the awesome opportunity and treatment the CAF has provided for me. It was, and is an honor to be part of the CAF family. The decision played heavy on my heart because I have spent so many years identifying with aviation, the Tuskegee Airmen and flying the P-51C Red Tailed Mustang. I thank all that have supported me but… the journey it NOT OVER!

I have begun an out of this world opportunity with the Erickson Aircraft Collection (EAC)  in Madras, Oregon. The Erickson team has welcomed me with open arms and crafted an environment to involve my family and fly some of the coolest warbirds in operation today! It doesn’t get any better than that. EAC is one of the largest and unique collections of warbirds in operations today. As the new Director of Operations for the collection my role will be to leverage the collection of 30+ aircraft to support the airshow industry in the US and Canada and provide memorable opportunities for everyone to enjoy and experience this one of a kind collection.

And guess what??? I have a Red Tail P-51D model to fly as part of me responsibilities. AWESOME. So, see you all out there on the 2019 show circuit, it’s going to be a blast!!
