Captain Milton R. Brooks served with the 302nd Fighter Squadron. On October 12, 1944, Brooks, along with five other Tuskegee Airmen, shot down a total of nine enemy aircraft while strafing railroad traffic from Budapest to Bratislava. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross for his aerial victory.
This Certificate of Valor denotes the Air Medal with Five Oak Leaf Clusters he received for his 82 missions over enemy territory.
