The 150-acre park is named after a local trailblazer who accomplished many firsts in area history during his career. The park offers eight ball diamonds, twelve basketball courts, ten tennis courts and four volleyball courts. Or cast your line into the five- or two-acre ponds and wait for the fish to bite. Fishing licenses are not required. There are paths to explore and prairies to discover. Make a day of it and click here to reserve one of the five shelters!
