The Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Bridge in Hartford, Connecticut was dedicated in 2011. Noted Tuskegee Airmen from the area are Connie Nappier Jr. of Hartford, who was an officer in the 477th bombardment group, and Lemuel Rodney Curtis, who later became Hartford’s first African American police officer. The memorial is located where highway 84 crosses Hamilton Rd.
