IMG_0500.JPGThe RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit rolled into Fort Lauderdale to share the RISE ABOVE Experience with students on Monday through Thursday. The CAF Red Tail Squadron partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County and the Urban League of Broward County to bring this message of inspiration to the youth of Fort Lauderdale. Our sponsors were Stonegate Bank, JM Family Enterprises, Inc., Enterprise Rent A Car, City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department and Dillard High School.

A special VIP reception was held on Tuesday, November 19 in the Gallery at Dillard High School from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Entertainment was provided by Dillard High School, featuring the nationally renowned Dillard Center for the Arts Jazz Ensemble. Tuskegee Airman Lt. Col. Leo Gray was also in attendance along with Brad Lang.

Educational Outreach Visits – Students from Dillard Schools were scheduled during the day and the students from the Boys & Girls Club and the Urban League were invited in the afternoons. Over 1,442 students enjoyed their RISE ABOVE Experience and received their inspirational dog tags.
