Harold_kidsThe community of Port Clinton really embraced the CAF Red Tail Squadron’s RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit during the 4 day Open House to celebrate with Dr. Harold Brown.
The crowds just kept a steady flow of people who wanted to learn more about the Tuskegee Airmen and to be inspired by their dedication.

The media provided great coverage of this event. Several reporters were present to capture this unique experience and share with the community.

Dr. Brown was available every day, and he was greeted with people who wanted to shake his hand, thank him for his service and get his autograph. He signed books, movies, pictures, hats and shirts. Each day there were long lines for both autographs and to see the movie. This event had the perfect setting, as spectators were inspired by the RISE ABOVE Movie, the P-51C Mustang on display, and finally to meet a real Tuskegee Airman.

The Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport provided an excellent location to show case the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit to their community. Together with the Liberty Aviation Museum they provided the location and support necessary for a very successful event. As an added feature to our display, there were other aircraft such as the Stearman, a B-17 and B-25 from the Yankee Air Museum throughout the weekend.
