In 2008, the National Park Service celebrated the grand opening of their Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site in Tuskegee, Alabama at Moton Field, the spot where the famed Tuskegee Airmen would receive a portion of their training… and make history as the first black military aviators and their support crews in the United States. The site, visitor center and exhibits are all free to the public.
