Tuskegee Airman Fred Brewer was only 23 years old when his P-51C Mustang “Traveling Light” experienced engine trouble and went down October 20, 1944 over Germany. He was presumed killed in action and his remains were never positively identified. This declassified Missing Air Crew Report (MACR) outlines what little is known about the incident. He is memorialized in the Tablets of the Missing at the Florence American Cemetery south of Florence, Italy.
