A memorial honoring of the Women Airforce Service Pilots who died during World War II. The military base Fort Hood was established in 1942 and was originally named after the Confederate general, John Bell Hood. As of May 9th, 2023, Fort Hood has changed its name to  Fort Cavazos to honor General Richard E Cavazos from Kingsville, Texas.
